@JulieAbel loves Jesus, her family, national parks, Panda Express and rock ‘n’ roll. She could be easily diagnosed as a Twitter addict, and would shop for clothes and accessories at REI over Macy’s any day of the week. When she isn’t working, Julie can be found reading, hiking or out on dirt trail somewhere in CO with her family in their Jeep Rubicon.
In 1997 she and Jeff moved to Colorado. She began working at Focus on the Family, where she served in various marketing and management positions for nine years. After leaving Focus in 2006, Julie became a national trainer for marketing and integrated best practices for Care Net, a national non-profit affiliate network based in Washington DC.
Currently, Julie serves as the Executive Director at Family Life Services, Inc., a residential program for single moms and their kids, and a counselling ministry to the community of Colorado Springs.
Julie has served on the panel of experts for Mashable’s Colorado Springs Social Media Day and has been a guest on the Tonya Hall Show. In 2011 Julie was named one of the Colorado Springs Business Journal’s “40 Under 40 Rising Stars.”
